To select a steelwork contractor for tender lists there is no easier way of pre-qualifying companies than using the BCSA RQSC Membership Directory for Buildings.
The Directory should be used to select a steelwork contractor who has the special
skills to suit your project.All BCSA RQSC Steelwork Contractor Members are regularly
visited by experienced auditors to assess their capabilities.

Below is the option to filter companies by contract value – the size of the project they can undertake. This has been calculated through the RQSC assessment taking into consideration their annual turnover, net asset value, references (supply and erect steelwork contracts) and public liability insurance. This value is for works they can undertake in a calendar year – not for a project in its entirety. For example, if you are looking to shortlist fabricators to undertake a project with a value of £20,000,000 to be delivered over 2 years, then fabricators with a guide contract value of £10,000,000/£10,000,000+ are eligible to be shortlisted for your tendering purposes.
