Responsible Coatings Professionals (RCP) Training Course - February 2025

3 February to 7 February 2025

Time: 08:30 to 17:00

Location: Elcometer Ltd, Edge Lane, Manchester, M43 6BU

Category: Training Course

In February we are holding the new, 4-day technical training course on protective coatings and intumescent fire protection for steel structures.

While other paint training schemes exist, they typically involve two or three weeks of time away from work and are costly. Much of their content is not relevant to steel fabrication, such as the painting of concrete, powder coating, tank lining, pipelines, water jetting, ships and more.

The RCP training course exclusively focuses on subjects and processes relevant to steel fabrication, its protective coatings and fire protection. The course is shorter and more affordable than other training providers, yet technically comprehensive and relevant. You will get learn how to use all the relevant testing instruments, with technicians on hand to assist.

RCP Training has been developed by Dick Frost and the course instructors are well known, highly experienced, senior industry professionals. The course is also endorsed and approved by Elcometer Ltd and Sherwin-Williams UK. The BCSA’s primary goal is to improve quality and reduce failures, as well as the associated cost of rectifying them, for the good of the industry. So, the RCP course is designed to educate those professionals in the supply chain who have responsibility for protective and intumescent coatings but would like more knowledge to better manage risks.
